Calbuco volcano eruption.
The author of this photograph is unknown. It shows the emanation of lava and ashes, and an electric storm, during the eruption of the Calbuco Volcano. It is a volcano located in the Región de Los Lagos, southern Chile.
The Andes mountain range has many volcanoes, most with eventual activity.
This photograph was taken on April 30, 2015.
We know that an eruption impacts the environment and people, and sometimes generate human and economic losses, which is very regrettable. However, I like volcanoes and images of eruptions (I have never experienced one).
The destructive power that accompanies an eruption, is part of the balance of this planet.
We can not avoid natural disasters, but we can learn to cope with them If the population knows how to take precautions during these phenomena (as it happened on this occasion), economic costs can be minimized and avoid fatalities, and a beautiful postcard created.

Hi Patricio
