My favourite band

My favorite band is Molotov, Mexican band that combines elements of rock and rap mainly, founded in 1995 and that continues today. Its members are Tito Fuentes (guitar), Paco Ayala (bass), Micky Huidobro (bass) and Randy Ebright (drums). Although they sing mainly in Spanish, many songs have fragments in English due to the contribution of drummer Randy, American. I've known this band since the age of 12, when I heard the songs "Gimme The Power", "Voto Latino" and "Molotov Cocktail Party". From that moment I knew more songs, and I became a whole fan.
I like this band mainly because of its message, which mixes politic-social content and lyrics with irreverent content, allusive to parties, disorder, and everything that implies. They are also able to mix musical styles (from hip hop to metal through Latin American music), sing in Spanglish, and are multi instrumentalists. In addition, the use of two bass generates tremendous musical power, especially when they playing live.

A SUBJECT YOU'VE ENJOYED STUDYING THIS SEMESTER

Honestly, I have not really enjoyed this semester. I have not seen any subjects directly related to my career, and I have only seen general training courses. It has been a little motivating semester, whose worst part have been the chemistry laboratories. Nothing worse than being very stressed out, among nauseating odors.

However, this is not the first time I study at university. Previously, I had studied in Universidad Austral, in Valdivia, where I studied several subjects that I liked a lot. Among several, my favorites are, definitely, Microbiology and Parasitology. Both subjects deal with the same topic, that is, extracorporal organisms that attack our organism, causing damage and diseases. The difference is that the first subject focuses on bacteria, viruses and microscopic fungi, while the second study organisms larger than the previous ones (protozoa, worms, and even insects).

In both courses, we study general data about the world of microorganisms, and then focus on the organisms that invade our organisms. We study the life cycle of the organism, the mechanism by which the disease is triggered, the course of the disease, and treatment to alleviate or cure it.

I liked these subjects since I have always liked biology (branch of knowledge very present in the training of pharmacists), and particularly zoology (study of animals). As I also like the medicinal area, it has been a fusion of my two favorite studio themes.

Microbial and parasitic diseases are still a major problem in global health, and it is a permanent challenge to generate new strategies to combat them. This is focused on creating new and better medicines, as well as educating the population, particularly the poorest people, to avoid habits that favor the emergence of these diseases, as well as raising awareness among the government to support and favor these strategies.

Calbuco volcano eruption.

The author of this photograph is unknown. It shows the emanation of lava and ashes, and an electric storm, during the eruption of the Calbuco Volcano. It is a volcano located in the Región de Los Lagos, southern Chile.
The Andes mountain range has many volcanoes, most with eventual activity.
This photograph was taken on April 30, 2015.
We know that an eruption impacts the environment and people, and sometimes generate human and economic losses, which is very regrettable. However, I like volcanoes and images of eruptions (I have never experienced one).
The destructive power that accompanies an eruption, is part of the balance of this planet.
We can not avoid natural disasters, but we can learn to cope with them If the population knows how to take precautions during these phenomena (as it happened on this occasion), economic costs can be minimized and avoid fatalities, and a beautiful postcard created.

My favourite serie

My favourite serie is Dragon Ball.
Main character of this serie is Goku, a child born on planet Veyita, sent to earth to conquer it.He is found and adopted by Son Gohan. This child, at first very aggressive, hit his head, and he becomes calm and friendly. As he grows up, he becomes a great martial artist, and befriends Bulma, a teenager that look  for Dragon Balls. These objects are seven magic balls that, when assembled, invokes the dragon Shen Long,, who has the power to fulfill any desire. As the story progresses, Goku knows many friends, and also increasingly powerful enemies, who will constantly endanger the Earth, and even the Universe.
It's my favorite series, because it has many epic fights, andbecause it includes many positive values  also, like friendship, companionship, and hard work to be better.
Dragon ball is a manga created by Akira Toriyama between 1984 and 1995, and transmitted as an animated serie (anime) by Toei Animation between 1986 and 1997(Dragon Ball:1986-1989; Dragon Ball Z: 1989-1996, and Dragon Ball GT:1996-1997).
From 2015, develops a new manga, and its corresponding television adaptation, called Dragon Ball Super.

My favourite piece of technology

Well, my favourite piece of technology is my smartphone, because I don´t have many technologic things. I have a PC and a smartphone, but I use my smartphone all the time. My father gave me this phone, after the stole of my first phone. I use my cell phone to talk with my family (they lives in southern Chile), and to chat with my friends. I download study material in my cell too, thus, I use this thing for study. And I watch videos and listen music. Therefore, I use my smartphone everyday.
I like this piece of technology because is a versatile tool for communications and entertainment. I do´nt need a watch to know the hour, o photografic camera to record a video or take a photo. An smartphone is many things in one !!
The life without smartphone would be like the 90´s or 00´s decades. I grew up in these decades, and things were different. I don´t see MTV because I did not have cable TV, or record an concert because I did not have videocamera, But now, with technologic advances, we have access to many things.
